Document Appears in Approval Requests After Workflow Completion

If a document continues to appear in the Approval Requests screen even after the workflow shows as completed, it is typically caused by one of the following conditions:

  • Group Approval Not Fully Satisfied
    The document may have been approved by one member of an approval group, but the workflow is still expecting approval from additional group members. In this case, the system continues to display the document until all required approvals are received.
  • Document Modified After Approval
    If a page or other content has been added or changed in the document after it was originally approved, the modification may invalidate the previous approval. The system then treats the document as needing a new approval cycle.

To remove documents from this screen, there are two ways.

  • You can open each document and manually approve the document again. You do this by clicking on the ellipses above the document image, choose Approvals>Approve.
  • Or you can bulk approve by confirming the “Approvals” column is showing in your Approval Requests screen, click on all the documents you want to approve again and then click on the pencil to approve all chosen documents.
