How to Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Your Account
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enhances the security of your account by requiring multiple forms of verification during login. Follow these step-by-step instructions to enable MFA for your account.
Step 1: Install an Authenticator App
Download and install an authenticator app that supports Time Based One-Time Password (TOTP) on your mobile device. Here are some recommended options:
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Google Authenticator

- Authy

- Duo
- Okta Verify
Step 2: Log In to Your Account
- Access the Epicor IdP or the EpicCare Support Portal.
- Enter your login credentials.
- After logging in, you’ll see instructions to set up MFA.
Step 3: Set Up the Authenticator App
- Open the authenticator app on your mobile device.
- Choose the “Add new account” option.
- Scan the QR code using your device’s camera or manually enter the code provided.
Step 4: Verify Your Identity
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the authenticator app.
- If using Epicor IdP, click the “Verify” button. For EpicCare, select “Pair device and Login.”
- For future logins, you’ll receive a verification code through the app or via email.

- For Epicor IdP: Click the tile icon, select “Two Factor Authentication,” and click “Configure authenticator.”
- For EpicCare: Click your name in the portal’s upper right corner, choose “Profile,” scroll to “Related Links,” click “Multi-Factor Authentication Settings,” and follow prompts to make changes.
- If you’ve replaced your device or lost access:
- Use a one-time recovery code to log in.
- Request a one-time verification code sent to your email.
