Epicor ECM (DocStar) Update – Mosaic’s Customer Upgrade Process

This article provides a detailed outline of Mosaic’s upgrade process to ensure a seamless transition for our valued customers. For upgrade scheduling and inquiries, please refer to the “Contact Information” section below.

System Requirements for This Upgrade

To install this Epicor ECM update, your environment must meet the following minimum platform requirements:

  • Windows Server 2019 or later
  • SQL Server 2017 or later

If your system is currently running older or unsupported versions of Windows Server or SQL Server, the ECM upgrade cannot be completed until the underlying platform is updated.

Customers currently running ECM or IDC on unsupported operating systems or SQL Server versions should contact Mosaic to review available upgrade paths. Options may include:

  • Migrating to a new on-premise server
  • Performing an in-place server upgrade (when supported)
  • Migrating to the Epicor ECM Cloud platform

If you are unsure which versions your environment is currently running, our technical team can assist in confirming this for you.

Planning Your Upgrade – Cloud Migration Option

Many customers use major ECM update cycles as an opportunity to evaluate moving their ECM environment to the Epicor ECM Cloud platform.

Epicor continues to invest heavily in the cloud platform, and new AI-powered features and future innovations are being released exclusively to cloud deployments.

Mosaic currently offers migration programs for customers moving from on-premise ECM environments to the cloud, making this an ideal time to evaluate a transition.

Common benefits customers experience after moving to the cloud include:

  • Reduced infrastructure and server maintenance
  • Built-in platform updates and patch management
