How to Validate and Troubleshoot Email Opt-In for Epicor ECM

Step 1: Email Validation

  1. Upon logging into your Epicor ECM cloud site for the first time, you’ll see a notification prompting you to validate your email.
  2. You’ll receive a validation email from no-reply@docstar.com.
    • Open this email and follow the instructions to validate your account for email functionality.
    • Once validated, your email account should be enrolled and ready to send and receive emails from Epicor ECM.

Troubleshooting Email Issues

If you encounter problems with email functionality after validation, follow these steps to ensure everything is configured correctly.

1. Check Workflow Email Suppression

  • Navigate to User Preferences > Workflow.
  • Under the Workflow Notification Options, ensure that Workflow Emails are Suppressed is NOT selected.

2. Verify Email Opt-Out Settings

  • Go to User Preferences > Environment.
  • Ensure the Opt Out of Emails checkbox is NOT checked.

Revalidating Your Email

If you see a notification stating that “Emails cannot be received until you have validated your email,” follow these steps:

  1. Click the Send a Validation Email option

Re-Opting into Email

If emails are still not being received, re-opt into email functionality by following these steps:

  1. Go to User Preferences > Environment.
  2. Check the Opt Out of Emails box.
  3. Log out and then log back in.
  4. Accept the validation email if prompted to revalidate.
  5. Return to User Preferences > Environment.
  6. Uncheck the Opt Out of Emails box.
  7. Log out and log back in again.

Your email functionality should now be restored.
